Sexing pigeons
Using DNA analysis the sex of a pigeon can be determined. This analysis may be performed using feathers, blood or the eggshell.

Paternity analysis
Using parentage analysis, the parentage of a young pigeon may be determined if information on the suspected parents  is available. To perform a parentage analysis, DNA samples of both parents and the offspring are required.  It is not possible, however, to determine whether two pigeons are related if there is no information about the (suspected) parents.

Parentage analysis may be performed using feather- or bloodsamples. To perform parentage analysis, approximately 10 plucked feathers are required.  You will receive a certificate with the results of the parentage analysis.
